Rose-Marie Care Home is a concept of living; a small intimate home like environment especially for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia; A safe, secure, stigma-free environment where the symptoms of the illness can be addressed in an individual empathic manner.

We promote the dignity and self-worth of all our residents and strive to assist each person so they may enjoy and have an excellent quality of life as defined by the residents, both individually and as a group. We encourage resident and staff group discussions and decision-making.


Residents have access to all areas of their home, and self-determination in activities, socialization, and food preferences.

Our home environment and attention to detail give our residents a sense of family and the security of their home.

We work in partnership with our resident’s families, supporting them and learning about the person prior to the illness, with that, we gain a snap-shot of the person’s life experience, allowing us to provide person-centered care.

The dignity and self-worth of our residents is of paramount importance to us. Our goal is to see that each resident enjoys an excellent quality of life.
 

We Believe That ...

Any person afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia has the right to live with dignity and enjoy everyday life, either in his/her own home or in a homelike environment.

Any person with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia has the right to live unrestrained in any fashion, unless he/she represents a clear and present danger to self or to others.

All people have a right to receive kind and compassionate care in a timely fashion. Our Care Plan focuses on meeting the needs of each of our residents holistically, that is – we consider the individual’s emotional, spiritual and physical needs.
